Culturing Microworms

Microworms, as the name indicates are a very small worm (in this case a nematode type worm). Their size makes them useful for feeding to fry and fish that have a small adult size. They can be easily cultured and harvested.

Grindal Worms

These are basically miniature white worms, they were first isolated by a Mrs Grindal from a white worm culture. Their size means that that they are ideal for feeding to fish with a small adult size or to larger fry that need something bigger than microworms.

Wingless fruitfly

These are small (about 3mm), prolific, easily reared and relished by smaller fish, particularly surface feeders. While being called wingless they are probably better described as being stump winged, as they still have wings but they are deformed so that they can't fly.
