FNZAS Breeding and Rebreed Scheme
The FNZAS runs a national breeding and rebreeding scheme.
These schemes acknowledge the achievements of FNZAS members breeding fish, with certificates being awarded, the accumulation of points towards breeding pins and the annual award of national trophies.
A member registers a breed the first time they successfully breed a particular species of fish.
Rebreeds are registered when that member breeds a species of fish they have already registered a breed for. A member can on register a rebreed of a particular species once in a single breeding year (1 April - 31 March).
The scheme also allows fellow FNZAS members to become aware of what fish are being bred by other people - this can often lead to an exchange of information or fish trades.
Each club within the Federation appoints a breeding coordinator, who verifies the breeding and rebreed claims for their club. This verified claims are then forwarded to the national breeding coordinator for entry onto the database and acknowledgement.
Here are the rules for the schemes.
